Dr. S. S. Lin, Senior Vice President – Technical Director 林幸雄博士
Dr. Lin received his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Washington in 1972, his M.S. in Environmental Engineering, Washington State University, 1969 and B.S. in Civil Engineering, National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, 1965. Dr. Lin is a registered Professional Engineer in Civil and Sanitary in the States of Washington and Oregon. He is a diplomat of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers.
Dr. Lin is an environmental consultant with over 30 years’ experience in water, wastewater engineering and solids waste. He has extensive engineering and research experience in the design of pollution control facilities, especially in the area of the sludge digestion and sludge dewatering and drying. Dr. Lin’s unique designs for two Washington State wastewater treatment plants are the recipients of honorable awards from the American Consulting Engineering Council.
Dr. Lin provided expert assistance to municipalities, particularly in troubleshooting and in resolving start-up problems. He has authored publications on various wastewater and water reuse for fish hatcheries. He has taught water and wastewater treatment design at the University of Washington and Seattle University. Dr. Lin has also been a frequent guest lecturer on water and wastewater treatment at the National Taiwan University and the Northeast Design Institute, Tianjin, China, complementing classroom theory with his experience as a practicing professional engineer.
